Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)

An Employee Assistance Programme is a voluntary and confidential counselling service designed to help employees and their immediate families deal with personal problems, some of which may be affecting performance at work.

Counselling E2E London Limited is an independent organisation that will provide professional counsellors to discuss problems in complete confidence outside the working environment. We provide confidential support to employees to manage personal problems that may be affecting work performance. Nobody within the company will be informed that you are using the scheme unless you choose to tell them.

For Employers

The use of Employee Assistance Programmes by employers in the UK is increasing. They are being used to enhance performance, retain and recruit staff and visibly demonstrate that people are the most important asset.

If you would like to discuss the design and implementation of an EAP for your company or organisation, please feel free to contact us.

For Employees

Having the opportunity to speak to a Counsellor can help to resolve immediate issues that are affecting your work performance. We can provide support on Emotional issues, such as depression, low self esteem, bullying, domestic violence; family or marital relationships or even ensure that you are supported to access specialist advice and information on other issues.

How does the Employee Assistance Programme work?

The programme can work in several ways. Firstly you or a member of your immediate family will be able to make direct contact by telephone with a Counselling E2E London Limited counsellor to discuss in confidence a particular problem or difficulty. The counsellor will be able to assess the issue and, if necessary, make arrangements for a local counsellor to meet with you.

Secondly, a manager may recommend or advise an employee to make use of the Programme. This will normally occur where a manager considers that your personal problems are affecting your work performance and if he/she believes that the EAP may be able to help.

It must however be stressed that there is no compulsion for individuals to use the scheme, nor will there be any disclosure by the counsellor of any discussion that takes place. The service is totally confidential.
